Just bought this fantastic book. A perfect book for me, Wilder Mann by Charles Freger. You can see a fine selection of the images here, along with his other work. There's an interview with him here too. I just love all these characters and it left me wanting my own mad costume, I'll definitely make something. Even made me think about translating my papercut work into faux fur and fabrics. If only we didn't have to earn a living, imagine the fun things you could make and get done! I guess the knack is to make that your work/job. In that respect I'm not too far off. However, i'm not sure there are many art directors wanting an editorial illustration rendered in furs and dirt...then again maybe there are!
